...I wrote about Amber Lough's The Fire Wish:
Basically, Amber Lough’s The Fire Wish is The Parent Trap, except that it’s set in old-timey Iraq and the girls are orphans. Other than the setting, there’s not a whole lot that stands out here, and the strengths and weaknesses all balance each other out.
Is it just me, or is it waaaaay easier to write about books that are either reeeeally fantastic or reeeeeally terrible than it is to write about books that are decent-but-meh?
