Saturday Morning Cartoons: December 23

I have a snow day today, so my Saturday morning comics reading will likely stretch into the afternoon and MAYBE THE EVENING, TOO.

Bliss.

Well, assuming we don't lose power and internet. *looks suspiciously out the window*

Anywayyyyy, as it looks like America is ALSO getting cancelled, here are a few of the things I'm really going to miss about it.

I'm going to miss how passionately, unapologetically political it is:

Billie Brightly: We've restricted teleportation and flight privileges. Dampeners are being put in place, along with a zero-tolerance policy on star portals.

Prodigy: Hmm. Enforced safety restrictions tend to benefit those in power most.

Here's another nice example of that—and keep in mind that the 'she' here is a megalomaniac trust fund baby bazillionaire. (I mean. I feel like the only way to get more pointed than that is to do this.):

Prodigy: She took down America and is ready to destroy our betas. We must resist. 

I will miss reading a book that is just as much—if not more—about the hero struggling to figure out who she is and where she belongs in the world as it is about her punching things:
